Could never get a hold of her. The staff kept giving me the runaround saying that they did make notes about giving me a response, but I never got any. No response for 4 months! I paid everything on time, and it was always nearly impossible to talk to anyone! Finally, I got a different lawyer and thank God I did. Everything got handled very fast and my new lawyer was on top of very thing.

Your not a customer, but you feel like family. The team is amazing and will respond quickly. Laura Hunt and her staff have been a down a long road with me, over 5 years. She cares about her clients and will go to any and all lengths to help her clients. Your not a customer, but you feel like family. The team is amazing and will respond quickly. We have even cried together which that is when you know you have not just a lawyer but someone who wants to help and has all the same feels you have. Miss Laura Hunt is a thief she took $2000 from me I could never get a hold of her her staff kept giving me the runaround saying it was by appointment only made several appointments never was contacted by Mrs. Hunt finally I told them I wanted to cancel they kept my $2000 I never seen a penny of it the only thing they did was serve my wife and then cancel it for my divorce.

I have been in the process of attempting to get divorced since 2006. During this time I have used two attorneys prior to having the great fortune of meeting Laura Hunt. For the first time in the previous 12 years I finally feel that there is an end in sight and all the credit belongs to Ms. Hunt. With my previous attorneys I was made to feel that I was unimportant and would wait for two weeks at times to get an answer to my email or phone call. With Laura and her exceptional staff (JoAn, Sarah, Tiffany and Beth) I have been made to feel that my case was important. They are attentive and not afraid to challenge my wife’s attorney. I honestly cannot say enough positives here. My only regret was not knowing of Laura Hunt in 2006. If you are looking for a family law firm I highly recommend Laura Hunt and Associates.

I hired Mrs. Hunt in April – I spoke with her twice since then in person, all other communications about my case were done poorly through her staff. I have a lot of knowledge of Winnebago County Courts and the attorneys, my suggestion is to do as much research as possible on picking an attorney, While she is very smart in knowing family law and reading people. Mrs, Hunt is overwhelmed with to many cases. I believe she has too much on her plate to properly represent a client. She relies heavily on her staff to handle her cases, and there is an extreme breakdown in communication. I called multiple times to get updates and find out where things were heading, only to be ignored or pushed aside. I hired her firm to take care of things for me, I had to give documents and evidence multiple times throughout the months, and explain things over and over again to her staff. Just before a very important trial date, I contacted Mrs. Hunt’s office to discuss what was going to happen that day and to make sure she had everything she needed. I was told I couldn’t talk to her and needed to make an appointment. They could get me in, in July – two months after my trial date. I had to go down to her office to get answers. Expect to sit and wait for her to address your case with a judge during status hearings as well. Many times I sat there for 2 hours waiting on her, as she would be going back and forth between judges. I minister to people going through divorce, so my issues with Mrs. Hunt aren’t just my own experiences but as a whole from hearing other stories. So again my suggestion, find another lawyer, she’s to busy to give your case the attention it needs when dealing with family matters, which is the upmost importance.
