My favorite quote of Dave Barry’s is, “If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.” It doesn’t hurt to ask how long the employees have been there. When a law office goes through an incredibly high rate of turnover, many projects are often left uncompleted or simply take too long, which can end up costing the client unnecessary expense. It might result in a client having to pay on a bond that they otherwise wouldn’t have to. Causing clients to incur unnecessary expense is likely a violation of that attorney’s fiduciary duties to the client.
