Critical: Professionalism, ResponsivenessPhil was retained to represent a loved one in a very serious criminal matter. I was present at the first meeting where we discussed his tiered retainer – a large fee for district court, another for circuit, and another large fee for trial. The fees were paid in cash. Shortly after the matter reached circuit court he started pushing for payment towards trial and even at one point threatened to cease representation without so much as one itemized invoice detailing services rendered. Phil never showed his client any trial preparations and in the eleventh hour pushed his client into taking a plea deal. This is a paying client, not court appointed. The case didn’t even spend a minute in trial with several thousands paid to him to prepare for. He failed his client in multiple instances. The clients family contacted Phil’s office several times to not have their calls returned, and eventually to be told Phil would visit the client in jail… yet he never did. This attorney is slime. Do not pay him your well earned money. And if he’s ever appointed as you or your loved ones attorney prepare for a long incarceration… just Google his “wins”.Take your money elsewhere.Phil was retained to represent a loved one in a very serious criminal matter.
