Cal Northern School of Law is the only law school between Sacramento and the Oregon border. Students earn a J.D. (Doctor of Jurisprudence) degree in four years of night study, which fulfills the educational requirements for admission to the State Bar of California. In addition to the traditional J.D. Degree program, Cal Northern offers a two-year (36-unit) Master of Legal Studies (M.L.S.) degree. Our M.L.S. allows students from varied educational and professional backgrounds to gain a sophisticated understanding of the basic tenents of legal studies, legal reasoning, and the interaction between law and society.

The support system is excellent with a committed dean and wonderful staff. With the expansion of the school’s ability to deliver education remotely (in addition to the option for live education at their campus in Chico), anyone in CA can benefit. I began as a commuter student from Redding but was able to complete most of the second half of my education remotely. Highly recommended!
