This is a great place to get assistance with legal stuff. Key word “assistance” …I feel people forget they are assisting you hence why it is free. You’ll only get what you give. If you do the leg work they will help. Don’t expect them to do all the work or the work that you should have done. Gather all your papers, your evidence & anything that’s pertinent to helping you win your case. Once you do that, put it together so it makes sense and submit it to them (call 1st as I do believe you must fill out an application and submit that as well with your papers.) If you have a ground to stand on legally, not emotionally, but within the scope of the law & the evidence to support it usually they will pick up your case. They assisted me with my issue and I won. I couldn’t be more grateful for their assistance. The fact, I had someone who was an attorney standing up for me even though he (Craig Carmean) said what I had said, it made all the difference. He did an excellent job and bc of that, we won my case. Thank you Colorado Legal Services and a Special thanks to Craig Carmean. You did awesome!

I was informed they couldn’t help me, because I’m an acting Property Manager. They referred me to a website for a lawyer I could talk to. All of the lawyers that I tried to contact had disconnected numbers and emails that weren’t working. I’ve been having issues with my tenant for months and struggling to find help.

This place has some of the best Mexican food in the Springs!!! I’ve lived here since 2003, tried nearly every Mexican restaurant in town and always seem to be disappointed. This place never disappoints! The chicken burrito with rice & beans is amazing and seriously costs only $6! There are certainly more expensive dishes but the selection of dishes under $10 is bigger than most. Wonderful food!!!

I want to praise Arturo Sanchez. He works very hard for everyone he helps and I believe he is the only paralegal for all the lawyers at CLS. I was very stressed and on edge and Arturo was so kind and calming. I felt 100 times better after my first contact to CLS once I hung up the phone from him. I have been dealing with a landlord that was trying to evict me during COVID-19. Colorado Legal Services have been a total Godsend. They helped keep my landlord from evicting me back in April. I didn’t have to move in crazy cold weather. The attorneys there are awesome as well and very knowledgeable and caring. A lot of people don’t know about these guys but I highly recommend them. They are there to help low income people like myself. They can’t always take every case but do their best to help as many people possible. This last time I needed them they couldn’t represent me but took my case just to act as legal guidance. It was so nice to be able to ask an attorney all my questions regarding my current eviction. I’m not going to be protected under the COVID-19 moratorium this time. I am however thankful to have their help in each situation. Five stars from me for CLS!!!

Critical: Professionalism, QualityLandlord/prop mgmnt harassment based on non-extistant problems purely in an effort to evict my wife and I in order to cash in on rising rental rates. My ability to counter them made their efforts more strenuous. Legal services assistance favored the prop management company and the attorney who said he would help us was a “yeller” and seemed to assist the opposition. We are still going to be forced out and homeless, never mind we have been here in the same place for decades and are now seniors with medical conditions brought on by this harassment. I do not expect my attitude toward lawyers and their tactics will ever improve and actually I never want to deal with one again. Lawyers help destroy everything including our Rights and our country not to mention drain you dry of all savings and hope. After a couple denied applications I was able to get them to possibly vet me for a pro bono lawyer at another firm. Since asking them for help regarding being vetted they seem to really want to help me. Fingers crossed. I’ll update the review after hearing from the managing lawyer this week.
