If you are on the fence about this practice, look elsewhere. You will get the best advice and attention prior to signing, so make the most of it. We have switched to a public defender due to the mounting costs and disappoint with this practice. When I’d speak with Jeff, he didn’t seem up on our case and didn’t follow up on his emails to make sure things were getting done. If we choose to hire another private attorney in the future, it would definitely not be with Jeff.
