I’m unsure if I’d return to H&R or another tax prep service that would be less expensive for the following year. The process was very quick, and I did appreciate that. I was frustrated that I asked for virtual, then repeatedly got calls to set an appointment, then received a text that an appointment had been set for me (without my consultation). I had to ask to go all virtual with the process.

So I was seen as a walk in and taken in very fast. They were very professional and got my taxes done in about 30 mins. The price was wasn’t to bad $134 for federal and state simple return. I paid upfront but I had the option to take it out of my return. I recommend this office to anyone who needs taxes done. I did it online last year and screwed up so you get what you pay for. I will return to H&R Block again next year. They have many office locations which is convenient but I recommend going early in tax season before the rush and go in the morning sometime you are seen faster. Make an appointment if you can.

i was able to successfully file my return however it took about a week due to system failures on the day of my first appointment. The lady who helped me made sure to complete the return during the following week and I just had to go back in the sign and pay for the service a week later. Overall satisfied but would’ve been great if it could’ve been completed on the day of my appointment.

The fees are WAY too high and I was blindsided by the high fee. I had 3 W2 forms and 1 interest earned form, and simply for the measly amount of interest I earned, I ended up having to fork over an extra 40 dollars! In addition to that, it would have been ANOTHER extra 40 dollars for the option to have the fee deducted from my refund. I found THAT to the worst and most egregious offiense, so I will definitely NOT be utilizing H&R block next time.
