only came for the refund advance and was told I would get $750 dollars on my card today and the rest when my refund was sent from the IRS to H&R block, and was then charged 250 dollars for the service. I usually do my taxes myself for free but was compelled to spend the $250 at H&R block due to the fact I was manipulated into believing there was no reason I would or should be denied for the refund advance. I was then told to wait about an hour the to check my card balance for the $750.. Shortly after leaving received a text message telling me I was denied the $750. SO H&R block got 250 dollars from me to file a return that was very simple and i normally would do myself very quickly and i walked away broke and now am out even more money after the whole purpose of using their service was to help me in a time of need

I am upset that only new customers get any sort of discount. I have been coming for 10+ years. Costs me 350 to do my taxes. Have talked with other companies which give me all the same benefits at half the price. If it wasn’t for Mr Gary Ford I would be going elsewhere.

In 2018 I was told I could sign on line an i couldn’t. Also 2018 I was told I had to only use the Granit city.il. office. I never got my taxes out till 2020. The only reason I finely went to the office in granit city office. Is i didn’t want to pay 2 times for the same year.
