Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueJoel represented my boyfriend during his divorce proceedings. Joel was CONSISTENTLY very difficult to get ahold of, sometimes taking weeks to return contact on time sensitive issues. On the occasions he sent associates in his place to court, they were completely unprepared, and weren’t even familiar with my boyfriend’s case. This failure to adequately represent my boyfriend unnecesssarily dragged out what should have been a simple divorce from a short term marriage with no children or assets in common, costing my boyfriend EXORBITANTLY more in legal fees and temporary financial support than he should have ever had to pay.I’ve worked closely with attorneys for decades, both in my own business and personal affairs. I’ve also been through my own contentious divorce. I know what competent representation looks like, and this doesn’t even come close. I don’t doubt Mr. Spitzer’s intelligence or ability to actually do his job.
