Ever since that day, I have always suggested Koontz and Associates as an option to close a real estate transaction. Attorney Koontz is a breath of fresh air. She is extremely knowledgeable, accessible, fair, willing to go above and beyond, she has a wonderful personality and if your situation does not fall into the scope of her work, she points you in the proper direction. I was introduced to Attorney JoAnn Koontz and her team about a year ago. It was an exceptional first experience. Ever since that day, I have always suggested Koontz and Associates as an option to close a real estate transaction. Attorney Koontz is a breath of fresh air. She is extremely knowledgeable, accessible, fair, willing to go above and beyond, she has a wonderful personality and if your situation does not fall into the scope of her work, she points you in the proper direction. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI have never encountered such an unprofessional approach in selling a house. This company was chosen by the opposite party (Miro Tmej), five times they had to urge the creation of closing documents (it took a month). Then Linda Romanowski gave us basically one calendar day to check all the documents, print them out, have them notarized in front of two witnesses and send them back by courier. If we didn’t respond promptly, the sale of the house would have to be delayed because of them! Since then, no one has communicated with us or responded to a single email. They charged a $1500 FRPTA fee for something that other companies provide for free. In the end, they wired us $1500 less than the contract they prepared! When we tried to address this with them, they continued to ignore us until we asked an Old Republic Title representative (Scott Pierce) for help. Jo Ann Koontz assured him that no one is running away with $1500, even though this is exactly what happened. Since then, to this day, no communication from them. We finally found out that after the contract was signed, they calculated a new amount that was $1500 less, and they wired that to us (contrary to the already signed document from both parties!). I have never encountered such an unprofessional behaviour, complete ignorance on their part. This company was chosen by the opposite party (Miro Tmej), five times they had to urge the creation of closing documents (it took a month). Owning a business can get hectic so it’s so reassuring to know our accounting and bookkeeping is well looked after. They even recommended our bookkeeper we’ve had now for two years. Very much recommend!!!!
