Legal Services of Northern California is a non-profit law firm providing free legal assistance to low income residents of Butte, Plumas, Glenn and Colusa Counties. Our office conducts intake for public benefits, health and civil rights on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We take non-emergency housing intakes on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. We also have special funding to provide additional services to seniors through Passages Adult Resource Center. We have limited capacity and do our best to serve as many people as we can. Our ability to take your case depends on your ability to qualify for our free service (eligibility), the merits of your case, and the resources and commitments of our office.

I don’t appreciate LSNC’s lack of support for the citizens of Chico. Your goals are misguided. Just like the ACLU, there seems to be a lack of understanding , even acknowledgement, of the rights liberal policies invariably take away from the many….In this case the citizens of Chico have to say goodbye to their community so some political science major at CSUC can save a puppy. Time should be spent helping them get clean, get a job, etc., and not how to find loopholes in laws and ruin communities.

I called with a pretty urgent problem and the person who answered said that they were booked solid for the next week and gave me a reference number to call . I was pretty upset and worried and I asked her if I could ask her one question she was kind enough to ablidge. She ended up staying on talking to me for a good 15min .she put my mind at ease and was even kind enough to tell me that if I had any problem with my situation to call them ..so Thank you
