They turned down aid for my mother and her divorce because she, “made too much money”. She works at a clothing store making $300 a week and barely has enough to live on her own; so where is all this money she supposedly has?!? I was completely speechless when she told me why they denied her. This place is a scam! I thought this was going to be the answer to a really rough time in my mom’s life and mine as she moves onto a better life but it wasn’t.

I’ve been calling for the last 3 business days straight…..ALL DAY LONG….and can’t get through or past the receptionist…it just rings and rings and rings….and if you chose to apply for legal aid it says the times are from 8:30-2:30 Monday-Thursday and it’s after hours while I’ve been calling since 8:47a and it is now almost 11:00a…..how in the hell are they the only office that serves east Texas….Feeling very disheartened as if my uphill climb isn’t hard enough already….
