Attorney Jillian Clausen is the absolute best! Within the first couple minutes of meeting with her she gave us so much confidence that the current orders we had set in place were not the best, but there were ways to make it better. She is very easy to talk to and 100% honest with her clients. She went above and beyond what we were expecting the outcome to be and really changed our family’s lives for the better. She is very knowledgeable and a true expert in her field. She is hard working and dedicated to her clients. She is a fighter and won’t give up. Jillian and the rest of the office were always super flexible with scheduling phone calls/meetings and answering any of our questions. She is very caring and understanding and is such a good support to have. We are so so thankful for her and couldn’t have done it without her! -Riley & Sam

During my divorce & custody case I was panicked & paranoid to a point that my therapist could have hospitalized me. However thanks to this firm & the excellent attorneys working there, who were patient with me, I was able to remain calm, updated, & given the best outcome possible in my opinion. I would highly recommend them.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI was divorced in 2018 and recently received a motion to revise my current placement schedule. After reviewing reviews and obtaining personal references, I decided to hire Attorney Johnson as my new attorney to represent me in this motion.I originally thought I was making a mistake because, he did not know my divorce history. However, I quickly discovered my fears to be unfounded. Attorney Johnson took time to listen to me and obtain the history he needed to properly represent me.Through the proceedings, Attorney Johnson informed me of my options and explained the process to me. He informed me of the possible next steps and was always available to answer my emails. On the day of my hearing, Attorney Johnson provided the facts we needed to defend our position. As a result, of his diligent work, the ruling went in our favor.I would recommend Attorney Johnson to anyone that needs an honest and caring attorney. My regret is not having him as my lawyer 2-years ago when I was going through my divorce.I was divorced in 2018 and recently received a motion to revise my current placement schedule. A victim of domestic abuse, I hired Johnson to handle a post divorce motion. He reassured me his job was to know my case “better than I did”, and throughout my case, confirmed my prior trial was mishandled. Due to my ex’s undisclosed significant criminal and violent past, abuse on me, false statements to police and attempts to have me (and others in ex’s past) arrested, for my and my children’s protection, I drove with a dashcam, recorded interactions with my ex, and had my home under video surveillance. Ultimately, this attorney’s (lack of) representation left me in a more dangerous situation. He supported recommending a mediator, failing to research against whom a criminal complaint for disorderly conduct had been filed. He and his 5 associates billed in excess of $95,000, put forth little effort, and were largely unfamiliar with my case. I presented him with incontrovertible evidence of my ex’s SUBSTANTIAL prior perjury, criminal activity, and abuse (including video), including the near drowning of one of my children. He presented none to the judge. The attorney requested financial records, but not the reasons, and thus did not receive records. Despite knowing that ex previously supplied filtered medical records, the attorney failed to request certified records. And, again, my ex provided filtered records. Repeatedly, the attorney insisted “it was enough to just testify” and “didn’t need to” produce actual evidence. Several times I reminded him; if the judge did not see the evidence, I could not appeal a ruling; a lesson from my first trial, of which he claimed to be well aware. His strategy failed miserably. He had not reviewed evidence that I had presented him months earlier until days before my trial, and only after I drove to his office and located it FOR HIM in his files. Near the beginning of the trial, he irritated the judge, who warned the attorney to stop. Despite having 5 billing associates, on one day of trial, the attorney had no assistance and missed evidence, later, blaming it on virtual trial. As in the first trial, my ex continued to lie, but the attorney failed numerous opportunities to point this out. He had evidence that my ex’s providers had been warned of deceitful behavior to evade treatment, but did not present this either, stating “he didn’t care”. Ultimately, several times, I notified the attorney I was dissatisfied with my representation and wished him to notify the judge. He refused. Near the end of the trial, I tried to speak up, but the judge refused to hear me. The attorney initially claimed he didn’t know how to handle perjury; I had to research this. He later admitted having another client with the same issue of an ex’s perjury; that client would also have to present evidence, post trial, to police. My resulting ruling listed more than 10 instances where the attorney failed to make my case. Multiple ruling statements cited “allegations” that were never made; the attorney refused to address. The judge, having seen none of the domestic abuse evidence, then didn’t believe I was a victim. I am now banned from using my dash camera and cannot have security cameras protect inside my home, or, record interactions with my ex. Shortly after trial, ex filed bankruptcy. The attorney admitted he knew ex would do so, but hadn’t previously notified the judge. I was threatened with loss of placement if I pursued family or federal court perjury claims, similar to threats I had received in the prior trial. The attorney took no actions. He took no steps to protect my youngest from continued psychological abuse. My ex is no longer required to engage in treatment; it is now voluntary, despite professional recommendation that it continue. A gag order now exists banning me from describing the abuse on us and reasons for same, including to police, and severely limits my ability to thoroughly review this attorney.
