Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueEric was hired to defend me. Upin accepting a large sum of money. Eric decided to only contact me 3 times after this. Since I was incarcerated at the time, Eric decided to simply drop me after 3 months and hardly returning calls or contacting me. He claims it was breakdown of client communications. Thus ended our relationship and of course forfeit of my thousands of dollars. Its pretty sad that this is theft. If you do not perform the work it is theft. Yet people like this run around. Beware to anyone who hires this guy. He will do all he can to jack up the price so he does not have to do work, or find a way out of the work while charging you a lot. After looking Puryear up online it is my opinion that he has more cases suing past clients then anything else. This guy saw I was part of an estate and I was getting some money so he basically stopped working on my issues and in turn sued me for defamation for a neg review I posted on here. Like I am sure they threatened all of you.Then he also saw my girlfriend had just won a law suit from a car accident and included her in his lawsuit stating she was a cosigner. I will say this guy does have the court on his side. After three days of trial and right before the jury was to rule he dismisses his lawsuit. What this does is keeps the jury from awarding you your attorney fees. Knowing that the court will not award them to you. I tried to use all the neg reviews posted on here as evidence but the court wrongfully would not allow them saying the reviews are hearsay. Yet I am sitting in the courtroom for being sued for a review the court just said was hearsay. After suing over 350 past clients this guy and the court has it down pretty good just to get you to waste more money. What a scam they have going on here. And to hear this guy talk about himself, I wasn’t sure his head was gonna make it out the courtroom door. Seriously Stay clear of this Law Firm..
