My wife and I have recently sold a successful business we spent 16 years building. When the time came to find an attorney, arguably the most important piece of the transaction puzzle, I did what most people don’t do.

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness, ValueJames was wonderful to do business with. He handled my selling of my business and everything that led up to that event, James was always concerned and asked numerous questions for our protection. Of course you would expect this from any responsible attorney but I could really feel his sincere empathy in working with our team. Thanks JamesJames was wonderful to do business with. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueThey advertise ‘estate probate’. Asked me several questions. Advised “at this point can’t help you”, call attorney that drafted your mom’s will’. It’s very hard to have a parent pass, adding on the loss of a sibling communicating, the estate probate closed. When does this office assist ??? My brief experience is that what they advertise as a service is not what they do or they have plenty of work and helping to right a wrong is not on the list of ‘to do’. It would have been professional to at least say why he couldn’t do anything. They advertise ‘estate probate’. Asked me several questions. I found Seay Law Firm while searching for a local attorney to assist one of my clients with the sale of their business. I’ve been privileged to assist with the sale of over 400 businesses and have often been disappointed by the level of service provided by some attorneys/firms. From initial consultation through closing, James went above and beyond to help facilitate the deal. His knowledge and communication were exceptional and, just as important, he made all parties involved feel comfortable. I highly recommend the services of James Seay and Seay Law Firm.

I contacted them to ask for advice. I spoke to the attorney James on the way home from work. So with that being said they are very accommodating. I was given great advice that should be helpful with my situation. I truly appreciated his honesty and would recommend them to anyone.

In a utility easement situation and Mr. Seay was able to give me great information right over the phone and redirected me back to the lending lawyers… He said something that most attorney wouldn’t have told me but I’m grateful that I called him and he informed me to the appropriate people. If I was in the Wilmington area and needed a real estate lawyer. I would get him. Thanks again and again for that time.

Critical: ResponsivenessCalled to get some work done for a small Veteran owned business. Couldn’t bother to call back personally had a secretary do it, just to tell me to call a different lawyer. Never asked the details or got consult. Should prob take the part in the profile off about being an Army Vet if you don’t have time to even talk to a brother in arms.
