Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI had the misfortune of hiring Jamie in 2013.. It’s now 2022 . Reminiscing on the poor work she did and traumatic experience I had with her, so much so I am compelled to write this review 9 years later. She truly did not care about anything other than the money, I was a younger man then and naïve to the MA family court system. My situation was unique as my ex-wife was then and still is active military, I was fighting to keep our child in the state. Thanks to Jamie that did not happen. I can tell you what did happen… she ignored me, chastised me, threatened to drop me, caused me great mental stress. I never met her in court once she sent her now disbarred husband to represent me every time. To pour salt in the wound on the day I was to stand before the judge, her husband had told me “ we want you to succeed in this case, If you want and are unhappy with the judges decision we can go to trial”. I laughed in his face and said “ I’ll take my chances with the judge”. Hopefully after all these years she’s regained her humanity and started doing honest work for people. I had the misfortune of hiring Jamie in 2013.. It’s now 2022 . Reminiscing on the poor work she did and traumatic experience I had with her, so much so I am compelled to write this review 9 years later. She truly did not care about anything other than the money, I was a younger man then and naïve to the MA family court system. This is a wonderful attorney. One who works in the best interest of her client and strives to get you through the process just as quickly as possible, at the lowest cost possible. Most attorneys will drag out the process, which will only cause the cost to increase to you. I should know. I have been dragged through an ongoing litigation for eight very long years now. Jamie stepped in and did what no other attorney could have done. An attorney who wants to settle your case, sooner, versus taking you to a trial can only be admired and praised. That is what Jamie does, strive to get you to the finish line just as quickly as possible, with the best possible result, without running up the cost to litigate. She knows the law, she listens to her clients, and she is great at conveying onto paper the facts of your case which is extremely important. She fights to win. If only all attorneys had this type of drive and work ethic. I highly recommend Jamie Mauritz James, and only wish I had hired her from the very beginning. Her work is exceptional. Jamie has been representing me for over 3 years on a multitude of divorce and child related issues, and I would never even consider having anyone but her represent me. I’ve spent a lot of time in the courtroom (waiting for my case to be called…over 20 days total) and I’ve never seen anyone advocate for their clients like she does. And she’s reasonable. By far the best attorney I’ve seen. Highly recommend.

Hahaha Karma is alive an well. Jay James who is Jamie James husband was disbarred. I’m not surprised. He represented my ex-wife and I was paying an enormous amount of child support because my previous job was supplying a high income to support that. When I changed jobs and significantly reduced my salary he kept delaying going to court. I found an email from him to my ex-wife saying he was going to lie and tell the court he had another case each time we were supposed to go and adjust the child support. He is a complete scumbag. His wife Jamie is worse. Ever hear about client confidentiality? It doesn’t exist here. Jamie James was telling all her friends about how her woman friend had hired her and that she was divorcing her husband. The only problem was the woman hadnt told her husband and he found out from a friend because Jamie was telling everyone. When she stood in to represenr my ex-wife I introduced myself and said we are trying to have an amicable divorce. She would have none of that. She left and got the guard at the courthouse and told him I had hit her. I was standing with about 40 people waiting to get their turn with the judge and told the guard to ask any one of those people what happened and they all confirmed she was lying and he left. Be careful considering hiring Jamie. You don’t have to worry about Jay, he’s no longer allowed to practice law. I’ve heard a lot of personal stories about them that I won’t share but just beware in hiring them or her. She might not be allowed to practice law before your case is done. These are the lawyers that give honest hard working lawyers a bad name. How’s that Karma Jay? Can’t think of a better person for that to happen to. Maybe Jamie I guess but she’ll certainly be next.

Jamie James showed up an hour late to our appointment, with Starbucks in hand. When she comes in the room to meet me, she’s still blabbing to others instead of introducing herself or even apologizing for showing up so late. She very rudely just starts jotting notes down and asking a few questions while barking over my answers. She did not let me get a word in edge wise, did not even ask me about the legal situation that I’m in or care to hear about it – which I thought was the point of a consult, silly me – said ‘she’s in court every day so she just knows how things go’. She is RUDE, interruptive, unwilling to listen, and completely careless about your time and stressful matter at hand. We spoke for less than 5 minutes; she told me that she wouldn’t take my case because I ‘didn’t have documents she needed’ that I in fact DID HAVE she just didn’t even care to ask for them. I told her I didn’t want to continue with her anyway, since she was so extremely rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate.
