My father was a hardworking man his entire life. The unfortunate news of his diagnosis of Mesothelioma came when he was just 76 years old. My family was referred to Nick Vogelzang’s Law Firm to seek compensation from the companies that did not protect workers such as my father. Nick Vogelzang promptly traveled to dad’s farm and spent a considerable amount of time with him to understand his work experience, focusing on the time frame where he was working with asbestos. Nick and his staff quickly became like family and were very sensitive when working with the situation at hand. When dad became too ill to cooperate, Nick and his team traveled many miles and worked endless hours with a colleague of his, who gave depositions on his behalf. After a very short but torturous battle with the disease, my father passed at the age of 76. Fighting this disease is difficult enough, having someone to fight the legal battle for us was a blessing. Their knowledge of Mesothelioma and their dedication and willingness to work on our behalf was incredible; our confidence in them never wavered. We were kept informed throughout the entire process. My family was present for the trial and Nick’s team did not leave our side. We were treated with compassion and respect. The settlements that my family received have been more than we ever expected and I know it would not have been possible without the expertise of Vogelzang Law. I have never regretted going through with this process, I only wish that dad could be here for the financial rewards. The settlement will never bring my father back, but it will allow for us to keep the farms that he worked his entire life for, and enable us to work and play on the very land that he provided for us.
