Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueAt first I felt like Mr. Sims was the right attorney for me that’s why I confidently hired him. I have never been so scared in my life the trouble I was in with an Aggravated Assault on a family member. He never gave me any details of his defense plan, what his intentions were for upcoming court dates and what transpired in court in my absence. He attended all my court appearances without me being present but my case got reset every 3 months for almost a year. Sadly I became homeless with my 4 yr old daughter and he was aware, he was concerned about his money which I understand. As soon as he heard about me paying off the balance he began sharing information he had never told me. He received his final payment and the communication was less. He never prepared me for upcoming court dates, wouldn’t respond, he asked for evidence but never took the time to review it before court. My case was stressful I assume, I was offered probation for 3 Years and he never told me which I declined because I was innocent. I never heard from him weeks before court so I attended court. When I told him I was there he asked me to leave the court room like i wasn’t allowed to hear what he was saying. Only to hear he wanted to reset my case again 3 months because he got new discovery (evidence I sent him ahead but he didn’t know he said was sent from me). Inadequate representation.
