The other side was quick to agree to an, 8/6. Custody arrangement but we continued to argue over an increase in child support…all about the money rather than what’s best for my children. At the end of the mediation, Ashley told me and my attorney that the other side had agreed to our final proposal but did not sign it. Ashley unethically violated the terms of the mediation agreement and later on refused to acknowledge that an agreement had been made. Ashley is a great lawyer and does a great job in mediation. I am a Dad and she worked after hours and at last minute to get a custody agreement worked out. This is also one of the nicest law offices in West Des Moines as they create a peaceful environment for mediation. If I compared our 2nd mediation at her office versus the very first mediation we had with a different mediator, I wonder if first mediation with different mediator should even be considered a mediation. I highly recommend Ashley and I think her office truly strives for compassion through collaborative divorce.
