I took custody of my child last year and had a zoom meeting with there office and ex wife to stop child support to her and not have her put on child support for my son with me now. So I just got a letter saying they reopened my child support without having a meeting with me and my ex and put me on 3500 in back child support I don’t even owe. The right hand never knows what the left had is doing at this office. It should be against the law for someone in that office to start up child support again without a meeting between the parents and the AG.

I sent forms for a formal review of my child support order back in March 2019 and then a request for review in August 2020 and when I chatted with someone at the attorney Generals office, because two of my children turns 18 and have graduated from high school. There response was yes we received both, but nothing was done and I said yes nothing was done and asked why and they said they would resubmit and to check back in ten days. It is day 11 and nothing. When you have to pay them, they are on you like crazy, buy when they owe you, you are SOL. what a shame.

I’ve had custody of my children for 5 years now. And yet no matter how many times I’ve said this and ask for them to stop giving my money to my ex they wont listen. He gives the children nothing, of what they take. He has nothing to do with the children. So money that I could use for my children goes in his pocket.

Experience was fine. Really didn’t like how they asked me if I was going to ask for back child support in front on my child’s father who proceeded to make me feel like it would be the end of the world. He hasn’t really been there for her or given 1 cent for her care she is 11 now. I really think this question should not be asked in front of him.

This place is terrible!! The only appeal to the mothers. Im the custodial parent, when i ask for any kind of help from them because the NCP, not paying her child support, i get the same answer ” we will send out a letter.” And when I ask the NCP for help I get responded with foul langauge and threats with police. Sad thing when we went in for a review the case woker felt so bad for the ncp because she and her husband have 2 other children that she lowered her support payment to 55.00 dollars (for 2 kids mind you). And even tried to get me to agree to forgive her arrears! I said no of course.

I agree with most of these reviews. My sister has been here multiple time in order to get some kind of assistance in turning an order but everytime she came they kept telling her no because she has a lawyer, now she doesnt no more and now they cant help her because its the law!? This place picks and choose when they want to help someone when its convienent and dont do their job at all.. like my sister hasnt gotten child support for almost a year and they never did anything about it or knew about it until my sister went and told them.. like dang! They aint even reviewing their cases making sure everything is being properly done but all they can do is send letters like wow.. If anyone knows and can help me figure out how to turn in and order by yourself without a lawyer let me know..
