Critical: ProfessionalismMr. Petty represented me in 2006. I was sentenced to 57 years after losing trial and he was suppose to handle my Appeal. Instead he coerced me to sign my life away. Young and naive I listened to his empty promises and signed over my rights not knowing what I was truly signing. I actually signed all my rights away and put all my trust into my attorney and he screwed me! Please do not trust this attorney! Especially when going to trial. He’ll work with the D.A against you like he did me. Luckily I am now free because of attorney/ex Federal Judge John Gleeson who believed in me and seen how I was unfairly treated my Mr. Petty and the system. We were referred to Mike Petty from a Durham County police officer after our teenage son was arrested. Mike not only was an outstanding attorney ….he truly cared about the welfare of our son and the impact the charges could have on his future and on our entire family.
