Kara Barton is simply the best attorney in the state of Utah. She helped me navigate a very difficult divorce with a rock-solid game plan that minimized the trauma to me and my children. She has an uncanny ability to sift through mountains of info and help you focus on what’s really important. I owe her my current peace of mind and financial stability, and still count on her to help me with the post-divorce dregs. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Best choice hands down dealing with Child Custody battle with my sons father. He wanted to play games with me and I knew some good word of mouth about Kara and I am so glad I went with her, she is one that doesn’t play games, she gets right to it and gets it done the right way and the way it should be done. doesn’t beat around the bush. She plays fair and by the law. She gets to the point and will tell you how it is and how it will be done. She is a little more pricey but you get what you pay for. I came out fair and reasonable with my sons father. Better then any attorney I think could have done. I have nothing but good things to say about The Barton Law Office such a great strong team. Put her own profits above quality work. Her counsel was not in my children’s interests. She put my case on a trajectory that I couldn’t change before my kids suffered criminal abuse. I can see how she is effective for some, but I would not recommend her to help if your child’s well being is at stake.

Best I can say is that Kara Lee Barton is way shady and it is in your best interest to stay away. My son hired her a few years back for a custody case and Kara placed her own profit margin above the safety and welfare of the kids – which was well documented with DCFS and the police.

Ms. Barton was the second lawyer my family tried in a family custody dispute and she turned out to be one of the worst choices in legal help we have experienced. Ms. Barton was shady and highly unethical; she placed the interests of her friends/mentors in the legal community above the interest of her client. As a result a child molester (who was arrested) could not be tried in criminal court because of her mishandling of evidence. Further, when we went to get another lawyer for help in this case, she would not turn over any of the mishandled evidence claiming it is her personal notes and those cannot be given to clients. So, basically she covered up her mishandling of evidence so that a child molester could go free… at the expense of her client and the innocent child.
