Awful, deceitful, and negligent and understaffed. To begin with their are no Bernsteins at this firm. They ride on the cache of the successful Sam Bernstein firm (and have no affiliation). They made promises they did not keep. They lie often rather than use corrective action to make things right. (Some of this has to do with the fact that they are understaffed) There are constant cover-ups in their office to hide their mistakes. This and other poorly executed actions had a negative impact on my case. I tried to address these issues while at the height of pain management in a professional way. Ultimately, I had to call 3 meetings in effort to reverse the damage done and steer a new course which eventually led to my firing them and hiring a competent legal team. This was a last minute risk I had to take because they truly did not have my best interest at heart. They were negligent in their record keeping and were not up to date at any given time on the status of my case. They lied to my face and to my husband and to my son. They take weeks to call back and often have rude people answering their phones. If you are considering them – STOP and fully research them. Consider firms that are respectable and have the resources to actually manage your case. The details of their legal misconduct are worthy of a formal grievance. I ended up going with Michigan Auto Law. They fixed the big mess Bernstein left me in and gave me and my family the confidence that they actually gave a damn. Furthermore they are considered one of the top firms in the state. They have adequate resources and only hire the best. They are professional and caring.

I had a case for workers comp years ago. I had won and was never informed by my attorney. During my case I went through a move from Michigan to Florida and a divorce. My attentions were on these factors. I contacted my lawyer and was told he would look into it and i should not have waited so long STILL to this day I have received not one penny from Bernstein and Bernstein or heard back from them for a case that was won.
