I can’t speak for the entire firm, only for the experience I had with the lawyer assigned to me. Jennifer Burns cared more about the money than my case. The hearing I had was canceled twice on me & I was charged all the fees all over again each time it was rescheduled. So I paid 3 times for the same thing. Even after I got “a credit” to my account, they just went & charged me again so it was pointless. There were many other random charges that just didn’t make sense. I was told my initial retainer fee would get me to a court hearing but that wasn’t the case. I had to keep adding money to my account before we even had the dismissal hearing. When I questioned this, I was told that they never told me that in the consultation which was a big fat lie. Very misleading. I just felt like a transaction to her. I’m a young Mother that needed real help & was taken advantage of. Recently had the dismissal hearing against me & she said nothing in my defense at all. It was by the grace of God my case wasn’t dismissed. After I saw how she did nothing for me in that hearing, I had enough & wasn’t going to waste any more time with her. All I wanted was a lawyer who truly cared about my case & actually did what I paid them to do & defend me. I didn’t see any of that. I made a promise to my babies & myself that I’ll never stop fighting for them & that’s what I’ll continue to do till what’s right is in order. This lawyer wouldn’t have made anything happen.
