Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueIf I could give no stars I would. My husband used them for a custody case when his kiddo was about one. They charged him over $30k and he ended up walking away with a worse deal than he would have gotten without a lawyer. They transferred his case to a new person about halfway through and right as his ex was attempting to push accusations of child abuse. The had initially placed him with an associate who was very late in her pregnancy, knowing this was going to be a difficult and litigious case. In the end, he ended up agreeing to far, far less than the CFI recommendation based on being advised he could change it later but this was the best way to get the matter settled in mediation and not move to hearing, however, he was not informed that if he allowed that clause to be removed in mediation, he wasn’t going to be able to modify later without proving substantial benefit to the child. We are currently working on trying to get a modification based on abuse and neglect as the child is now 6 and only started talking around age 4 1/2-5. Unfortunately, my husband is in a really poor position to prove he would provide a better environment as he was forced into the weekend parent role by his own counsel- in a state that virtually always awards 50/50. Our new lawyer has been working with us for twice as long and has charged a quarter of what was paid to the Martin Group. He was able to get 50/50 custody awarded while we wait on a second CFI report to determine a permanent modification to full custody. If I could give no stars I would. First impression this firm was great. But after 6 months with lack of results, outrageous retainers, paralegals who where rude or in bad moods, and attorneys who where not informative about their “game plan”, I finally switched to another attorney who has accomplished more in one month then this firm did in 7!!

Used this firm when they had a great lawyer once a portion of my situation was done that lawyer left the firm and the replacement was far from desirable ended up losing a lot of money due to not wanting to bank on the subpar replacement. Run far and fast.
