Sandy Monachino is a support magistrate and running for election to become a family court judge. 6 times it was noted that he tried to mislead the court in a 5 year period. He laughed at someone who was testifying about domestic violence. A credible report was sent to the Broome County District Attorney to investigate perjury. He worked with family court Judge Pines to try and prevent a parent from being able to appeal the verdict he was about to make, and told Monachino he only has to provide anything so they can get away with it. The Family Court of Broome County needs serious changes.

This is for my experience with The Clerk, Melissa at the Brooke County Family Court Office. She is an Angel. So kind and patient. She has a very soothing and calming voice. She is incredibly professional and explains things In a simple fashion( how I understand) I wanted to take some time to let everyone know that this woman has helped me in more ways than one! Melissa is absolutely amazing! She is a wonderful first face to see when you walk in.

Broome family court do not care about shared parenting, they just want to get paid. Child attorney, lawyers and judges are all against shared parenting. This will be my second trial and second appeal in Broome County family court. And I will be pulling up complaint’s against the judge and my lawyer for not giving me a FAIR trial.

One of the worse judge there. I can say is (judge Dunshee) after all these years (judge Pogson) fixed my childsupport that Im currently paying to my children’s father.He was really cashing out thanks to (judge Dunshee).Judge Pogson did a fantastic job with setting the financial matter the correct way. Now as far as(judge Rosa) very pleasant and fair.My only wish is that he can one day listen to the full story lawyers are trying to cover up.Some of these of children in broome county are really going through it.

Not one person who works for the court truly cares to hear the truth vs the b.s. All the lawyers seem to do is try to talk you out of your case so it can end faster knowing they get paid per case. Lawyers should fight for their clients not talk them into letting go. The judges don’t listen to people, more especially people who petition when the other party is detrimental to children’s lives. It’s sickening and some internal investigation on a federal level needs to happen because the whole system here is very screwed up and it’s wrong. I don’t see nearly as many good reviews for them ANYWHERE and it should suggest something needs to be looked into.

Luckily i was able to change venues to Tioga county family court. Broome county was making it impossible to get custody of my daughter. First visit to Tioga county and I regained custody. The judges in Broome don’t care and the safety and welfare of children.

I’ve been to the clerk, etc several times, very helpful for questions. As any NYS family court, it’s not easy navigating and doing your own diligent research is vital, as is being respectful even when you feel disrespected. The law is not there to give you what you want, it’s there to be as fair as possible to virtual strangers. Most of the time it takes years to get the outcome necessary to keep children safe, and normally at their expense, sadly.

I would give it less if I could. My sons refuse to go back to there father saying he abuses them. I do everything call the police go file for emergency the judge says he won’t do anything until CPS talks to the children. So I have to take them back and if they won’t go call the police. I again tell my children they have to go and my son for the second time starts hysterically crying and hyper ventalating. Call the PD and sheriffs they can’t do anything to help. So the jusdge wants my child to go back with an abuser. This is ridiculous.

Family Court Judge Connerton did not listen to the truth ! Judge Connerton allowed a lawyer to chew gum in court , and laugh at me while testifying about an injury to my daughter ! Saying I had an impulse issue when I got upset with the lawyer ! Judge Connerton stated she didn’t know the family yet made a life altering decision on testimony filled with lies and then didn’t take into consideration what my daughter wanted ! Yet months prior did the total opposite for my son without hearing testimony and just going off a lie filled petition! She should lose her seat in family court ! I will appeal and appeal and spend the rest of my life trying to fix a system that is broken ! Judges should be ashamed of themselves for not listening !

Judge Pines has his head up his ___. He just awarded custody of two special needs boys to a mentally unstable woman without allowing the other petitioner in the hearing even speak to rebutt untruths spoken in his courtroom. He & Can’t Protect S___ may end up with blood on their hands.

They are very rude very unorganized and can’t be bothered to assist you.Mostly due to their general lack of communication and knowledge of court operations!So if you have questions or concerns you’re better off doing the research yourself!

the woman that answers the phone today was very rude and disrespectful and don’t know any knowledge of the court system after just trying to find out when i had a court appearance she was like u r going to have to come down with ur id and then we can tell u its not going to be over the phone any more which is stupid because some people don’t have the time to run down and find out when they have court some people actually work for a living
