Peter M. Hsiao is the founding attorney and principal at the California Workers Compensation Lawyers. After graduating from University of Southern California in political science, he obtained his law degree from Whittier Law School in 2002. In his early legal career Mr. Hsiao represented various self insured employers as well as insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters throughout the state of California. In the past he has represented claims seminars to third party administrators as well conducted claims reviews to employers. Through his decade long representation of employers and insurance carriers he has gained an unique perspective on how to prosecute claims on behalf of injured workers today.

My grandmother injured her self while coming down some stairs at the ware house where she use to work at. She had pretty severe injuries to her back and neck. Her employer and the insurance sent her to some urgent care clinic that basically sent her back to work. I called this office and talked to Jose who was able to get my grandmother to a better doctor and payments for not being able to work. He even came to our home since my Grandma was not able to come in to the office for the initial Consultation. This office was great to deal with. No funny business, just honest people.

Not sure what to say since my work comp case seems like it went on forever. Not the fault of my lawyer. The insurance company was absolutely unreasonable. So thank you to everybody for your patience I know that I was difficult to deal with at times because of my frustration. So thank you to those who put up with my bad attitude. I was working as a cocktail waitress at the time of my injury. And my injury was pretty bad I suffered some nerve damage. Jose was the person who is handling my claim with the help of staff and it was a long process. Insurance companies really do not want to give you what is fair and unfortunately you need to be patient if you’re going to get a really good settlement. Jose made me aware of this. He even told me we can settle now and we can get less or we can continue to do what we’re doing and eventually they will get in and he was right. They did get in after 3 1/2 years.
