Megen grew up in Fort Smith, attended Fort Smith Public Schools, and graduated from Southside in 1998. Her father is Rex Chronister. Growing up, Megen spent a lot of time around the office—helping answer phones, filing, and running errands. She had the opportunity to see that the practice of law was more than just a profession, degree, or status to attain. She saw that there were real people with real needs and real hurts and these people needed help. She saw her dad countless times over stop to patiently answer someone’s legal questions and explain in details that they could understand. She watched her dad, Andrew, and Ron navigate various legal issues and truly help individuals in some of their most difficult places in life. This desire to help others is what propelled her into and through law school. The word that came to mind often in law school and even in practice was “advocate”.

Ron Fields
Ron Fields’ primary focus of practice is criminal law in Arkansas. With 44 years of legal experience and a lifetime of personal experiences, Mr. Fields provides an outlook from both sides of the law. From 1972 to 1975, he served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Sebastian County. Mr. Fields served as the Prosecuting Attorney for the 12th Judicial Circuit, State of Arkansas comprising of Crawford and Sebastian Counties for nine terms beginning in 1979. In 1990, Mr. Fields was appointed by the Governor of Arkansas as the Attorney General of Arkansas to resolve issues that had occurred in that office. Mr. Fields completed that term of office and returned to his position as Prosecuting Attorney. In 2005, Mr. Fields joined colleagues and friends, Rex Chronister and Andrew Flake, in private practice. He handles matters such as, Drug Trafficking, Possession, Assault, Domestic Battery, DWI, and Capital Offenses.
