It was unbearably difficult to get “my” lawyer on the phone. I called multiple times on different occasions to get information on a possible closing and almost never got an answer. I resorted to emailing, texting, and even expressing my grievances to a legal secretary about the poor follow-up and communication. I would have given this lawyer a 1 star review, but I know that this problem was not entirely his fault. COVID through a wrench into the mix, BUT this entire problem could have been quelled with better communication. I had a terrible experience with a simple 1031. It was my first time going through this process, but not my first sale by any means. It was unbearably difficult to get “my” lawyer on the phone. I called multiple times on different occasions to get information on a possible closing and almost never got an answer.
