Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueRebecca Colaw was assigned as my sons GAL which at the time we split 50/50 custody for 7 years. Rebecca Colaw decided it would be best to permanently remove my son from my care totally which resulted in my child going into Major depression, failing school, running away, going to alternative school, etc. My sons father and I decided to work together again after all of the negative impact of removing me from his life had. We agreed on our own to split 50/50 custody & now my son is doing great, out of alternative school, getting straight A’s, college offers and no longer depressed. If we continued to take this GALs advice my son would’ve continued to go downhill of a extremely sad and depressed childhood. Despite my child telling her he wanted to be with both parents this person failed to listen or understand my child’s needs. I own my own home & she came to my home & took pictures of my home and put on her GAL report that the pictures of my sons room at my home were that of the fathers home. As a GAL your job will always be to do what’s best for your client and by no means did this Attorney do this for my son. I thank God for intervening in this woman’s plan to remove me as a Mother. I also thank God my child is being raised right and no longer emotionally struggling as he was while being represented by Rebecca Colaw.Rebecca Colaw was assigned as my sons GAL which at the time we split 50/50 custody for 7 years.
