I am a disabled single mother of a child with ASD. My mother was driving me to my doctor’s appointment about 3 hours from our home. A semi-truck drifted into our lane, hit us and sent us spinning into a concrete median. The truck never stopped. I was hit by the side curtain airbag, and had a seizure almost immediately. I ended up with a concussion. My mother injured her neck and knee. Thankfully, my son was not physically injured because of his car seat, however, his prolonged fear of semi-trucks and ensuing nightmares lasted for months. After working with our insurance company for a few months and dealing with a never-ending stack of bills, my mother called Daniel Stark. Having never worked with a personal injury lawyer before, we didn’t know what to expect. Daniel Stark set us up with a team. They immediately took over all of the medical bills. Our lawyer, Bryce, called to introduce himself and to offer his assistance. Viviana called at least every other week. She made doctor’s appointments, arranged for an MRI, and checked on our recovery. Bryce and Viviana treated my son and I as individual clients. I didn’t know that our team would take every responsibility off of our shoulders so that we could recover. Because of our team, by the conclusion of our case, we were physically, psychologically, and financially whole. Through it all, our team treated us with kindness, respect, and incredible compassion.

I was hit by a semi-truck on I35, which sent my car spinning at a high speed into the concrete median between the north and south bound lanes. The truck never stopped. I have never had a wreck more serious than a fender bender before. My adult daughter and grandson were in the car with me. My daughter began to have seizures almost immediately, and my grandson was hysterical. After being transported to the emergency room, treated, and released to the care of our personal physicians, the stress of the event set in. I had daily headaches in the afternoons for months from a bulging disc that was discovered later in an MRI. I am my disabled daughter’s guardian, and and she cannot drive. I am responsible for getting her and my grandson to their appointments, regardless of how I am feeling. My grandson is autistic and he sobbed for two months in fear every time we drove close to a truck. My health insurance has a relatively high deductible. I also had to finance a vehicle as mine was totaled. We were not prepared for the medical bills or the down payment on the vehicle. The stress was frankly overwhelming. Facing thousands of dollars of unexpected bills, I called Daniel Stark. I have never worked with an attorney before. I am beyond grateful because my attorney and his assistant immediately took the burden of chasing medical bills off of my shoulders. I was unable to get my daughter’s insurance to pay for the ambulance and a large portion of the emergency room bill, even though she had a concussion from the airbag. I needed an MRI, but couldn’t afford the additional thousands in deductible. Daniel Stark sent me to get diagnosis and treatment for my neck, they negotiated with my daughter’s insurance to pay the bill for emergency services, and they called regularly to check up on how we were doing. I cannot adequately describe my relief. I was able to care for my daughter and grandson and gradually leave the trauma of the wreck behind. I had a much different view of accident attorneys before this experience, but that has changed drastically. Without Daniel Stark, I would still be paying on the medical bills, struggling to make ends meet, and I would continue to suffer from migraines every afternoon. Having an advocate makes all of the difference in the world.
