I cannot recommend Emics Elder Care highly enough. I contacted them when my father had a stroke and living overseas for a long time was completely unfamiliar with the options and procedures. They were amazing. I was immediately impressed by their knowledge and their candor about the costs and options. I was equally impressed by their integrity and good faith in all my dealings with them. These are people who follow through and do what they say. Being overseas this was an incredible relief. I secured a very good care outcome for my father under the difficult circumstances of rehabilitation in lockdown. The BEST thing my family did for my mother last year was finding Guido Derlly and Emics Elder Care. He, quite literally, saved the quality of her life. Through Guido Derlly’s efforts, persistence, and knowledge – we were able to get Medicaid funding so mom could stay at home. Guido and the EMICs team are truly OUTSTANDING! They were referred to us by the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Having a loved one with dementia is stressful on a good day, add on top of that trying to get the services you need to best care for them and it is overwhelming! We were certainly leery at first – it did sound like a sales pitch – but we vetted them, asked around and ended up going with them. Boy was that the right decision!! While it might seem like a lot of money at the beginning of the process, once you make it all the way through and even beyond you realize, it is well worth it!! I can’t stress that point enough! Spend the money – you will NOT be sorry! Guido and the team quickly got us through the entire process and had a home health aide in our home in about three months, fast! They helped us with the Medicaid application process (identifying specifically what we needed to do and when – there was no guessing); helped us choose a Pooled Trust that would work best for our needs; prepped us for the interview process and then was on the phone with us during our many MLTC interviews advocating for our needs; helped us choose a MLTC and a HHA agency to provide the services and then followed up with us the week after services started to make sure it was working out and to simply offer supporting words to help us get acclimated. We recently reached out to them again for guidance on changing the way we receive services and Guido was, as always, quick to respond and help – it’s like having a personal friend in the elder care business! We HIGHLY recommend Guido and the EMICs team!
