Ettinger Law Firm was founded in 1991 and has thirteen offices throughout New York State. Sufolk County offices are located in Bohemia, Melville, Smithtown and Southampton. Principal attorney Michael Ettinger’s approach to estate planning includes a strong elder law component. Planning for potential disability, he believes, may be more essential than the equitable distribution of assets. New clients receive a combined elder law estate planning approach that is unique in today’s environment. As he often says, “in today’s environment, planning for disability is more important than planning for death.”

Our experience, beginning with the free seminar at Mama Lombardi’s to the two meetings that followed with Suzanne, were excellent. Suzanne was thorough and very informative…she knows her business and explained all to us very simply and in a way that was easy to understand. What one believes as difficult and even distasteful becomes easy. Suzanne Ettinger made my experience of planning for my after life so easy and understandable. For so many years I sought counsel from legal firms to plan my estate. I always came away with the belief that “THEY” were more interested in my money and using it to make money. Many of the firms required the use of financial advisers they wanted. Ettinger only provides for the legal dissemination of your assets with no recommendation or concern of how you manage those assets. Recently I either saw an add on television or saw something on line that reminded me of this firm and Mr. Michael Ettinger. I had dealt with him after my mother’s death in 2015. I had done her estate planning with another firm but was directed to Ettinger by a friend as I was not sure how to proceed with things and was not getting answers from the other firm. This firm did nothing for me. I was promised a return of $5,000 after expressing my dissatisfaction but never received anything. My brother from the mid west contacted this firm, as well and was also told a return of monies would be made. I never pursued it although I certainly should have. I was easy money. Would have picked no stars but that is not allowed.
