After the sale we will take anything that F&M Estates has supplied for the sale and remove them from the home. After that it is the homeowners decision if they want a clean out of the home or not. There are multiple options for the home owners or head of estate at this time . Remember we do offer cleanouts but not to those who are having a sale by us. We can facilitate a cleanout for you or refer you to the proper parties. Charitable organizations are also an option. Once all sales are final our records will be turned over to the homeowner to go over to make sure all funds are accounted for. We understand deadlines and closing dates need to be met so we will make sure to refer you to the right cleanout company.

Appraisals are done by experts with long term knowledge in household goods, vintage items, and antiques. We will have an appraiser come in for unknown antique and vintage items and find the gems of the estate. That mirror that your dad had hanging in the living room could be worth thousands. Without the knowledge of an expert you wouldn’t know it was an old victorian mirror from 1879. It is important to not only F&M estates but to the family as well that these high ticket items are found so they can be displayed properly. In order to conduct a sale pricing is crucial.

Before the sale is important and presentation is imperative. In order to have a good sale we need some time to prepare the estate. Please do not throw anything away. This part is very important ones mans trash is another man’s treasure. F&M Estates will take care of any trash that needs to be removed before the sale. We will make sure the site is presentable and clean for our customers to enjoy. Those half empty bottles of Pledge and Pine Sol will most likely sell same with the Florida key tags from 1970. This part is crucial. Many families think they are doing us a favor by cleaning up but in actuality they are throwing away money that can be generated through-out the sale. Please call before the estate is gone through, gems are easily overlooked.

After a property is cleaned out it is left broom swept and vacuumed. We understand here at F&M Estate Clean-outs that no properties are the same. The only difference is we like to leave them in the shape they were originally bought in. Some properties need what is called a deep cleaning. A deep cleaning may included dusting, washing floors, scrubbing walls, disinfecting the home / properties , tile grout scrubbed and cobwebs removed.

During the sale supervision will be provided by a highly trained staff. What we look for is people who have any questions about items or the estate in general. Basic knowledge provided by staff can help sales tremendously. We have staff to move items out of the home for the buyer so there is no damage to the property. We also provide shelving, secured display cases, floor mats and standard shoe covering to protect any carpets in the home. Our cashier will keep a detailed record book of what is purchased from the property at the time of the sale and the record book will then be turned over to the head of estate. All sales will be ran professionally and all property will be cared for as if it was our own. We also have some of the most friendly and knowledgeable staff to not only keep the home owners smiling but the customers as well.
