Critical: Professionalism, ResponsivenessFrom my experience, there couldn’t be a more misleading, slimy, and shifty business. Do not trust any requests for “Acts of good faith” or make any kind of amicable agreement with them whatsoever. If they ask you to do anything for them, refuse. Assume you are being mislead in every way to absolve the HOA from any responsibility. From my experience, there couldn’t be a more misleading, slimy, and shifty business. Do not trust any requests for “Acts of good faith” or make any kind of amicable agreement with them whatsoever. If they ask you to do anything for them, refuse. Assume you are being mislead in every way to absolve the HOA from any responsibility. I had a bad experience with this firm when I was the president of Devonshire Condominium Association. Once your association get this firm as your representative attorney(s), you remain with them forever. They massage the by-laws and sow seeds of discord among unit owners. Please, if you have them as your firm, your only bet is to know your by-laws and the CT statue of condo association. They can mislead you as board members and in the end, you would be hated by unit owners. Once you feel hated, you tend to believe that Franklin Pilicy PC is your best bet. They framed me and had to go to court with them. I am thankful that I learned a lot and I went to court with them. At the court, they represented the management company and the association board at the same time. Meanwhile, my suit was against the management separately and the board members separately. The good thing is that I won the case in the end but the association paid so much over something that could have been resolved. The law firm, mind you, were supposed to give sound financial and legal advise but they did not. In fact, they also knew that the board did not have insurance and yet did not say anything.
