Over the course the past 6+ years of my divorce and proceedings afterwards, Ms. Thomas has gone from my attorney to friend to part of the family. I had always respected her no nonsense approach to my very difficult case throughout the years. She always took the time to explain the proceedings and what she needed to help me. In the rare cases I wasn’t able to reach her directly, I knew I would be receiving a returned email or phone call by the end of the day. Ms. Thomas is one heck of an attorney, that once decides to take on a case/client meets the needs of them 100% to the best of her abilities, which after after 25 plus year of service is a ton!!! In my case in particular, she was always quick to update me on anything that had came across her desk, which I appreciated as a military member. Even though I personally felt like I was troubling her with the constant questioning of my Divorce Decree and Parenting Plan, she never led on it was any trouble and made sure I had a firm grasp on my issue prior to hanging up the phone. I don’t want anyone to have to go through a bitter divorce or even a good one, but if you have no other choice then I suggest you go with the best….Georgia Thomas! She doesn’t sugar coat things and tells you things how they are, if you can handle the truth and want an attorney that will go 100% for you, then Ms. Thomas is your attorney!

She opened a can of worms that took 3 years and multiple lawyers to fix. Ms. Thomas should have never took my case. She knew she was retiring and just wanted me off her plate. She told me I should only go for 35% shared parenting because that would be all I could get during our mediation. Now a year later after she dropped me as a client I am back fighting and a judge is letting my son move to Virginia where he has no family and the mother has no friends. So now I have to fight more to just get equal rights when that is what a good lawyer would have advised in the beginning. If I would have fought for 50/50 my son would be staying in his home state. I would respect someone that was just honest from the jump, but we are talking about a career lawyer. #shameful the way they can ruin peoples lives when the kids are the ones who suffer.

My first impression with Georgia was terrible. She did not do her job as an attorney to help me understand what was going on. My daughters dad paid her to do our divorce and she left us alone to sign the papers, I never got the chance to talk to her one on one to go over what was going on and why we wanted the divorce I was young and my daughter dad was screwing me over. After the signing of the papers I then had another attorney look over our divorce and found out she was suppose to have represented me and that she was suppose to be my lawyer according to our papers. Georgia was actually against me and on his side not only that I was very upset to see how she’s a women and a mother and had him screw me over on the child support the income everything was wrong and a lie she refused to go over anything with me because she stated that she represented my daughters dad which was wrong. I am dissatisfied and now having to pay another attorney to fix her mess up when she should have did her job in the first place. Now I’m a single mother of a five yr old in daycare and her dad is an E-5 in the army across state living his life and not doing his timesharing as it was in our agreement in the divorce he refuse to help out anymore. Its sad how it took me 3 yrs of research and no experience nor degree for law to know that the way she did our divorce was wrong and for her to have a career in law she was the worst ever you would think a women would have sympathy for another women who is raising a child alone. All she cares about is making the money not getting to know her clients and that’s just not right

This was my first divorce which i needed a lawyer because i had children involved. I was very scared and upset with the whole process and georgia was very kind to me and she told me everthing would be ok and that i needed to com down and breathe. She even gave me her personal cell number and would text me and ask me how i was doing and hows my boys. I began to build a very comfortable relationship with Mrs.Thomas very quickly and all my stress and worries were alot easier for me to manage. I mean divorce is hard and when you have children in the middle its so sad. The important thing she stressed to me was to always do the right thing and think about things and relax and let her handle all the problems for me. I am military and i am use to doing everything myself but this time i relaized i cannot do this without someone who knows the laws and is good at there job to get me my rights to my children. I love this lady and i would tell any of my friends or a total stranger to hire Georgia for there divorce and custody case, she truly is an amazing lawyer and she honestly cares about her clients. Hey divorce is a horrible thing but atleast i had someone who has been around this kind of process for a very long time. When you want to hire the best then you call this lady trust me.
