I came across Syn Kim through the lawyer referral program. Her reviews were great. Our first meeting was not good but I hired her because she has done work for my client and was highly recommended. She eventually withdrew herself from my case and didn’t have many options for me, was very short, and her tone was very condescending. Not only she withdrew herself from my case at a time that was sensitive I don’t believe she wanted to fight for me as a client nor wanted to hear my case. I was cut off each time I spoke and I believe she has became desensitized due to her many years of experience. Please don’t waste time with her for family law. If I could rate no stars I really would. People like me hire lawyers because litigation is not our avenue, if so everybody can go to court without spending so much on lawyers. She is very rude and I wished I didn’t waste time or money on her.

Neither my son nor anyone in our family had ever dealt with criminal charges nor the legal proceedings associated. Thankfully, another professional highly recommended Peter Greenspun. From the first time we met with Peter, it was clear that he was knowledgeable, experienced, and that he cared about my son as a person and not just a client. He recommended positive actions my son could take to mitigate his situation in the event he was eventually arrested. Although my son was ultimately arrested on two felony charges, and the prosecution was clearly determined to not only have him sentenced on both charges, but to have him serve the maximum amount of time possible, he was convicted of only the lesser of the two charges. I’m writing this review because I want to share my story. I was told I could be helped, then later told. Nope, as I’m sure conflict of interest played a roll. Below are 2 emails I sent the firm. 1 to ms. Greenspun Yang and the other mr Greenspun. Basically I felt neglected by this firm then later insulted. I hope you can read in between the lines. The first email you will read is of me wanting to know why I didn’t get back my full retainer. The second email is in response to mr. Greenspun whom I felt grossly insulted me. I won’t repeat his email. In fact he keeps referring to the mother of my child “my wife”. When she never was. They can’t even give me the dignity or keeping there facts strait. This was a defamation case.
