Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueAttorney Mason took on my custody case in February 2020 to help me get my visitation and custody rights for my then 3 year old son who I had not seen in several months. My son has been abused multiple times in the care of his mother who has had multiple CPS cases in several cities. Attorney Mason has never contacted me or updated me on the status of my case unless she was returning a call I made to her office. She charged a $5,000 retainer fee which was paid in full at that time. She did nothing she promised to do, such as filing a show cause to the courts. I have not seen my child since January 2020 and have now been contacted by Williamsburg CPS due to a new case being opened in another city on my child’s mother. I have asked Attorney Mason for my paperwork back multiple times and she continues to have her office associates give me the run around. I am asking for my paperwork that I gave to her in regards to the legwork myself and my family did from 2018-2020. My child’s life is at stake and this Attorney could care less. All we ask is our right to get our personal documents back from this office. At this point we have no choice but to file a complaint with the Virginia State Bar.
