Hofheimer Family Law Firm was recommended to me after being blindsided by a cheating military spouse. This has been the worst experience ever! I should have known the moment I completed an intake form and we had our initial (paid) consultation and she wasn’t prepared and the number of typos in the paralegal’s email to my husband’s attorney when they first advised that they would be representing me. I literally went over everything that I had already completed in the intake prior to our meeting, had already uploaded the draft of my husband’s separation agreement and she (Caitlin) was asking me the same questions over again, that was 6 months ago by the way! I reached out to them after not hearing from her on a revised draft in over 5 months (since February), only to be told that she is on vacation…again and the paralegal Sarah told me that she had not responded to my husband’s attorney because her email had not been working. For 2 weeks…you are a paralegal who doesn’t have access to your email for 2 weeks? By the way, they charged me $30 for calling them to say that I had not heard from them since February. Interesting that everyone’s email was working when they sent out the email regarding the increase in rates that would be effective in July. I paid them over $1600 and never even received a revised draft to present to him and his attorney after his attorney apparently had been in communication with them monthly (according to his attorney) looking for a response. But…when I requested my balance of my account (via text) and to let them know that I would no longer be working with them, I received a very quick response. Now I am back to square one with absolutely NOTHING! I should have taken the advice from my neighbor who shared with me that she had the same experience with Caitlin.
