I had a appointment scheduled for today with H&R block in keokuk. I contacted the local office around a hr before appointment to confirm if my tax preparer was in. I specifically stated my tax preparers name and reconfirmed she was in. I even repeated “oh good so she made it in with the bad weather and all good” I was also told by the lady who answered the phone that they had been calling me to confirm I was still coming. So upon arrival a completely different story was told . A lady named Brenda Herr, EA, AFSP stated Ms. Freeman “was not in. And that I must have called the corporate number and was given wrong information. So I say “so your passing the buck?” She only nodded her head. So I state “do you have someone free who can do taxes now?” She states that she has a appointment coming up… She then states her feelings….. Of she thinks I’m upset…. I stated “nothing about me is mad, however, you feel some type of way as you stated.” I asked for her name and card to leave this experience. She can tell I’m thinking “you don’t have to lie Brenda!” She then states “I said I could do your taxes after whoever was there she looked at.” “I stated no you did not!” And let her know Ms. Freeman always handled her customer with care and that we would never have this type of engagement….. I stated “I will be happy to not speak with her again.” She stated after her many unprofessional statements “she would be happy with that.” Since she has no problem lying she had to know I was going to share the experience exactly for what it was! Ended up having a really good experience with Hewitt Jackson!! Thank God for Good people!

They changed bank they use and I was denied my advance .bc my tax returns was lower then previous which everybody will most likely be . Gave me the advance in December. But denied me now. 10 years plus I’ve been with h n r block …sad day.
