I was able to get the appointment quickly and the lady on the phone was very nice. Kim was a sweetheart and very personable. I felt like I could trust her to find all the deductions she could. She also told me things about my taxes regarding things to do or not do when it comes to my money and how I claim dependents and how I use my money. I have used H&R Block in the past and had always been super happy with their services. However, this year it seemed the only goal was to get me in and out as quickly as possible. There were no attempts made to go through and see what deductions I could have gotten. Not even a few questions asked. My total due has been very consistent over the last several years. There have been no major changes in my income or status. This year my total due just can’t be right. I feel that had there been any attempt to ask about my situation that my taxes would be very different. The only advice I was given was that my W-4s must be filled out wrong. I contacted all of my employers and they are all filled they way that was advised from the tax professional. I am now having another tax professional look through everything that was filed to find the mistakes that were made. If you have anything in your taxes that is not in the norm DO NOT use their services. My trust for H&R Block has been broken. I will never file with them again.
