He was very thorough and supportive during the discussion and could understand my frustration in trying to deal with the Child Support legal department while residing in another state. I sent him the consultation fee and asked him to get records for me. The next thing I received was an Order dismissing my case! Such gratitude for a wonderful and speedy resolution. Great results! I am out in Arizona and needed help dealing with an old old child support arrears matter for which I had been trying to resolve for over 25 years! Mr. Calmes spoke to me for almost an hour to get all the details. He was very thorough and supportive during the discussion and could understand my frustration in trying to deal with the Child Support legal department while residing in another state. I engaged the services of James Calmes to complete a legal matter. When complications occurred, his fee tripled over the initial amount that he had quoted. When I asked for the work that had been performed and that I had already paid for, he and his office did not respond to calls, emails or a registered letter to comply with this request. I wanted to present the information to another attorney to get their opinion and it was information that I had paid him to research and compile. I was unable to do this. I had to terminate the services of James Calmes and hire another attorney without receiving the information that I had paid for months before. Bottom line – I hired a different attorney that charged me less than half of what James Calmes had quoted to complete the job. LIFE IS TOO SHORT to deal with someone like James Calmes. Go elsewhere.
