He did not do any of the tasks he agreed to do except for one which he did poorly. He then claimed to not even know what I was talking about when I inquired as to to status of the other items. He used up my retainer very quickly without warning and refused to respond to emails until I paid more (even emails asking how much was needed to pay). It took over an hour of back and forth emails to get that info, which he then charged me for even thought it could’ve been answered in a few minutes. A year after I discovered he had failed to file an important piece of paperwork with the surrogates court. I had to pay a fee to get it done on my own after the fact. Once, he sent paperwork for someone else’s estate leading to me worry that his documents were not secure. Now I believe his files were compromised as someone else filed a tax return for the estate without my knowledge or consent. No one else had the info to do so but his office.
