Before my divorce my husband told me he would get custody of the kids and I would be paying him child support. I spoke to at least 2 or 3 other attorneys who told me it wouldn’t go anywhere and that I should just settle for what he wanted. When I went to Mr. Totten’s office he and his team took time to listen to my story and walk through every detail. Every day we were in constant contact and Bridgett was especially helpful when I started to panic. I felt like my voice was heard they worked very hard on my behalf. When it was over I got custody of my kids, child support, my house and all the equity on it – all the things I had been previously told I wouldn’t get. I remember contacting this office and was hesitant about pursuing custody of my daughter because of how hard it is to prove a lie in court. The first round in court, with another lawyer, I was embarrassed mainly because I wasn’t being listened to or taken seriously. But this time, with this team of John, Bridget, and Shelbie, I was successful in winning my case. They made me feel like they really cared and gave me all the tools and information I needed to be successful. John was a magician in court and uncovered things that I didn’t even think about digging into. When he does the “people eyebrow” like the Rock from WWE, consider the job done. He told me from day one it would be a long process but if I did everything he told me I had a chance of winning back custody. I followed his instructions and within a year and a half I had gone from no visitation to winning sole custody of my daughter.
