I hired him to write trusts. He took my money but has not gotten back to me. I plan to give him 24 hours to respond. If he doesn’t I plan on filing ethics charges

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI wish more than 5 stars was an option. In November 2020 my dad passed away from cancer. My brother and I are both retired military and do not live in Ohio. I live in Louisiana and he lives in North Carolina. When Dad finally let us know he was terminal things got VERY real VERY fast. We were told he was having heart/oxygen problems. Not good, but not terminal. Anyways, Dad did not communicate to us of what he had done legally other than his will. (I honestly don’t think at that point he remembered. His oxygen levels were extremely low for a while by that point.) Anyways, my wife and I asked her mom and dad if they knew any attorneys that dealt with these type things. They asked around and more than a few people recommended John. I called him immediately. His disposition is one that is extremely calm and collected. I definitely needed that. I did my best to talk to Dad about what needed done and by that point he was just so tired. He left it to me to do what I felt was right. John suggested a few pieces of paperwork (Powers of Attorney and such) which required both my brother and I to meet with him and Dad to sign/notarize the paperwork. Keep in mind that this was in November, Dad was in the hospital in Ravenna, and they weren’t letting anyone into the hospitals at all due to COVID. John made a call and was able to have them make an exception. My brother and I made the necessary travel arrangements and were to be there 2-3 days later. We just found out all of the bad news like 7-10 earlier. Looking back, it was a tornado. Anyways, as my wife and I were getting on the plane here in Shreveport I received the phone call from the hospital letting me know Dad had passed away. I was literally supposed to see him in person for the first time in almost 2 years (F COVID) 3 hours later. At our layover in Charlotte I called John to let him know. He was extremely compassionate. At that point among so many other things to do we had to begin the process of going through Dad’s things. Luckily his will and legal paperwork (including a quick claim deed…words can not describe how much pain that saved us) was approximately where he said it was. We took all of it to John, and he knew exactly what to do with it all. Because of Dad having his affairs in order and Mr. Grundy being our attorney, the process of dealing with probate and closing the estate was about as smooth as it could be. John and his staff guided us through every step. He got us to take care of the things necessary in person and explained everything in detail that we could do in Louisiana and North Carolina. Again, if you live in northeast Ohio and ever have to deal with the loss of a loved one where you will be responsible for estate type affairs, imo you NEED Mr. Grundy. There are so many things that require an experienced, high attention to detail like he has. When I would raise concerns over estate issues, John would not only have the answer, but he would assure me everything will be ok. I was correct to believe him. Thank you John.I wish more than 5 stars was an option. In November 2020 my dad passed away from cancer. My brother and I are both retired military and do not live in Ohio. I like grundy he got the job done, did a good job on my mom’s estate after she passed, but it is like pulling teeth getting anyone to answer your call or call you back after leaving voice-mails.
