I’ve had occasion to utilize Mel’s services on two separate occasions. The first was for a drawn out (by the other party) child custody evaluation for my son. I was concerned about getting a fair shake in the legal system because I was a father and it seems that fathers have a much harder time winning custody. Mel never made promises he couldn’t keep and helped guide the case through the legal hoops I had no idea existed, resulting in a successful case for me. The second was for an estate matter where my mother-in-law died intestate. He was able to give me the help I needed to handle the legal requirements of notifying creditors and filing papers with the court. He gave me as much help as I needed and advised me without pressuring me to take any particular course of action. Mel is professional, friendly, and level headed, all welcome and essential attributes for an attorney dealing with potentially very emotional situations. If you need to file for disability I strongly suggest that you give Mel a call. I had answered an on line questionnaire that had several attorney contacts. I did some shopping around also, Mel was the only response that I had received from this questionnaire. Thinking now that from the lack of no other attorney’s interest that I may not qualify for disability and talking with Mel at this point he assured me that he would not have taken my case if he did not think he could help me.
