Fantastic adoption attorney! We retained Ms. Talmud to support our foster to adoption process through Erie County Family Court. It was a very complex and contentious case and we needed someone who could navigate family court adeptly while fighting for the best interests of our family. Rebecca made us feel comfortable from the beginning with her knowledge of the system, the court, and the players involved. She knew when to push and when to hold back both with other attorneys and in court to achieve the best outcomes. When we started this journey she was very good helping us go threw the process, we felt very comfortable with her because she states she has worked with families with children with disabilities, our son has autism.when we needed to speak to her or need call backs, her paralegal would use emails most of the time, and she would always do the talking. They were doing a wonderful job, but than things did get confusing and difficult and the adoption was at a stand still for a bit, and than they were very unhelpful, wouldn’t take our calls, would not answered questions and concerns we had, and also lied to us, and to our son. When we emailed her and yes we did call her a liar in the email, she than proceeded to call me two days later and told me she was withdrawing herself from our case, because she felt uncomfortable being called a liar, so I asked her for a explation on why we were all lied to And was trying to explain my concerns and she said she didn’t want to hear it and she wasn’t going to answere any of my questions. So my husband and I finished the adoption quickly on our own, if it wasn’t for her withdrawing herself from our case, we would probably still waiting.

If you are a guy forget about your rights. Unless the mother is a straight up drug addict or alcoholic she will side with the mother no questions asked. She will take your time away and will force you to follow an order that was not signed by court in any manner. (My accusation was I gave my 3 year old daughter beer….when I don’t even drink… )Then refuse your phone calls when you seek such papers from the court. Intimidating you along the way telling you that you will lose all time with your kids.Even if the mother is a compulsive liar and manipulative which was proven to be in court. If she(Rebecca) holds information that is court ordered to you she will go out of her way to hide it. I have been calling her since October 17th 2016 and she refuses to get back to me but will speak to my ex everytime she calls…dont worry fellas. Next time I appear in court I’m going to question every case she has been involved in where the father has lost time.
