Please do yourself a favor and do not make the mistake that I did in enlisting the help of Ms. Guzman. She is by far, the most unprofessional and unorganized attorney I have ever had to work with. I hired Ms. Guzman for a simple suit involving my Contractor and his misappropriation of my funds. The case was a simple one in that the contractor did not even bother to show up to court so I received an automatic default judgment against him and his company. Perfect. The hard part was over right? Thats what I thought but I was wrong. The final order was issued in July and Ms. Guzman promised to order the certify copies and get back to me. For months, I have reached out to Ms. Guzman asking for updates and follow-ups on my case and the certified copies to move forward with my recovery process. And for months, she kept giving me excuse after excuse and promised to do better. But she actually got worse. It is now October and I still have not received any copies to begin the recovery and asset liens etc. She fails to take accountability and appears to be in over her head. It is very unfortunate. I am a strong supporter of woman owned business; especially minority owned ones because I have and am one myself. But she has proven to be a big disappointment and added unnecessary stress to an already stressful process.
