My close friend and I were looking for a good honest lawyer who has experience and wasn’t going to treat us like a number. We called and felt at ease after speaking with Mark who was extremely knowledgeable and truly cared. John was facing felony charges with potential mandatory prison time and Mr. Arentz was magnificent and helped him avoid it. We are thankful we found them and we just went with our gut feeling. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueRobert unfortunately is the reason Lawyers have a bad name these days. He was wired $5,000 up front and never received any paperwork from him as far as any kind of contract, and was agreed he would contact me before my arraignment. He failed to contact me… We met in person at my arraignment, and after speaking with Robert, i decided to go with another legal representative. I personally got in contact with him and informed him i no longer need his services, his response was that i was unable to “fire” him. That i would need to hire another lawyer first… or write a letter to the judge asking for a public defender… he also refused to issue any kind of refund.. I then hire a Real Attorney that formally submitted a substitution of representation in which Robert himself had to sign as well as the state attorney. My new attorney formally contacted him on a professional level to let him know i’m due a refund, to please itemize a bill with his services and expenses and to deduct it from my deposit with him and to issue a refund.. Robert refused and his response was to file for a Fee Arbitration. In my opinion this is extremely unprofessional from a so called “experienced professional” It’s pretty much legal robbery. To this day he hasn’t returned any of my calls or emails. This dude is apart of the problem in the legal system and in this world. He was wired $5,000 up front and never received any paperwork from him as far as any kind of contract, and was agreed he would contact me before my arraignment.
