I paid Mr. Faden for services never received. He has not returned any monies owe. I had to hire another attorney for services that Mr. Scott Faden had misrepresented. I file a complaint with the Florida Bar. Was advised that Mr. Faden had rec’d a courtesy call to return my retainer, but has yet to respond. I am now looking to file a civil case for monies owe to me, since disciplinary action was taken.

We hired Scott to close out a probate case for us that was nearly finished. We finally got the case resolved and we paid him “double” what he requested for a retainer fee, because we thought the case was completely thorough and completed and finalized. The extra $10,000 bonus was because we were thrilled to finally be out of court and probate. Come to find out there is funds sitting in the state of Florida left from this probate case for my husband, and I have contacted Scott for the past 3 years pleading for him to clear this matter up since he did not complete it properly. I have been told by numerous Attorneys that he needs to be the Attorney to clear this up since he handled the case and was paid to do so. I cannot even get him to respond! And I have left him over 50 E mails and phone calls. Never use Scott Faden, once he’s paid he is through with you! I also sent two of my clients from my business to him during the time our case was being handled by him. They each gave him $3,500 retainer fees. Both of them called me crying because he took their money and never completed their cases and never would return their phone calls. Beware of Scott Faden. I cannot believe how he treats people. I’m embarrassed I sent 2 people to him and they wasted their money and had to hire other Attorneys.

My dealings with Scott made an already stressful situation more stressful. Dozens of emails ignored. Never really listened to what my case was about. I’m a single mother and he took everything I had in savings for a retainer for something I didn’t end up needing to even do. By the end I wound up in court due to errors in an agreement that he wrote that the judge said was missing key things according to the law. He frequently winged it at hearings with no preparation and I was never in on the strategy or plan, and he was dismissive of any questions or ideas I brought up. He ended up dumping me as a client at the last minute in the final stretch because he didn’t like hearing criticism or hearing how his inadequate representation was negatively affecting my children. If there was a zero stars option I would select that.

This lawyer told me he could help and that my case was easy. It’s been a year and I haven’t heard from him. He will not respond to emails or return phone calls. I also did a review on Avvo and it was deleted and a positive one was added. My next step is to report this lawyer to The Florida Bar.
